MTC was established in 1989 in Marrickville by a team of just three. Now we’re a group of 450 dedicated people working at more than 50 locations across NSW, ACT and Queensland and every year we support 20,000 people with new skills, confidence and opportunities.

Vocational Education & Training (VET)

What is Vocational Education & Training (VET)?

Vocational Education and Training (VET) refers to training designed to equip individuals with practical skills and industry-specific knowledge. These programs aim to prepare learners for employment opportunities or enhance their capabilities for career progression.

MTC FutureReady provides a selection of nationally recognised qualifications, skill sets, and units of competency designed to meet diverse training needs.

Our Courses

BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills

This course gives you a solid grounding in general office administration and the chance to get your foot in the door through a range of junior positions. In a friendly and supportive environment, you’ll gain basic practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge. 

This nationally accredited qualification will prepare you for entry-level roles such as administrative assistant, data entry operator, information desk clerk, office junior, and receptionist.

BSB30120 Certificate III in Business

This course provides participants with a range of career options in diverse business settings. In a friendly and supportive environment, you’ll develop a broad range of competencies, knowledge, and practical skills. 

This versatile, nationally accredited qualification will prepare you for career opportunities such as administrative assistant, office assistant, customer service officer, payroll officer, and data entry operator. 

BSB30220 Certificate III in Entrepreneurship and New Business

This course enables aspiring entrepreneurs to take the next step in getting their small business off the ground. You will explore business opportunities and develop a business plan, complete with financial tables. You will also develop skills essential to running a small business, such as customer service, finance, and marketing.

BSBSS00103 New Business Ventures Skill Set

This course enables aspiring entrepreneurs to take the next step in getting their small business off the ground. You will explore business opportunities and develop a business plan, complete with financial tables. You will also develop skills essential to running a small business, such as determining resource requirements, finance, and marketing. 

BSBSS00102 Micro Business Skill Set

This course enables aspiring entrepreneurs to take the next step in getting their small business off the ground. You will explore business opportunities and develop a business plan, complete with financial tables.

White Card training

White card training is nationally recognised, meaning you can legally work on construction sites across all Australian states and territories. It’s often the first step for anyone starting a career in construction and can improve employability in related fields. This course provides essential training on hazard reduction, risk management, safe work practices, emergency procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

First Aid training

First Aid training is recommended for both practical and personal reasons. It equips individuals to respond confidently and effectively to emergencies such as cardiac arrest or server bleeding. This training provides a valuable skill that many employers seek, particularly for roles involving public interaction and safety responsibilities.
