BSB30220 Certificate III in Entrepreneurship and New Business
BSB30220 – Certificate III in Entrepreneurship and New Business enables aspiring entrepreneurs to take the next step in getting their small business off the ground. You will explore business opportunities and develop a business plan, complete with financial tables. You will also develop skills essential to running a small business, such as customer service, finance, and marketing.
This course is available to participants under the Self-Employment Assistance program and the Smart and Skilled initiative of Training Services NSW.
Who is eligible for this course?
To be eligible for funding, you must:
be at least 15 years of age
not be prohibited by law from working in Australia
not be an overseas visitor on a working holiday visa or an overseas student studying in Australia
not be discharged bankrupt
not be enrolled in full-time secondary education

Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital skills
You will require the Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital skills to:
Read and comprehend the course learning content including written documents and numerical texts
Conduct a basic internet search
Engage in online learning, including video conferencing sessions
Use a range of software to communicate electronically and create simple documents
How is this course delivered?
Duration & delivery mode
This course is delivered online through Microsoft Teams and is scheduled for 26 hours per week (Monday – Friday) for a minimum of 17 weeks with an option to extend to 12 months, depending on personal circumstances. It will include:
- facilitated virtual learning;
- self-paced learning through our online learning platform;
- and virtual coaching sessions.
Student IT requirements
Students must have access to:
- a computer or laptop
- the internet
- word-processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software

Certification
Successful completion of this course will lead to a nationally recognised qualification in Australia, awarded by MTC FutureReady.
Should a student not complete the full qualification, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for the units in which the student is deemed Competent.
