Training and assessment

MTC delivers courses through classroom and distance or online learning. We provide students with the right training and learning for each unit of competency.

Our trainers and assessors

MTC FutureReady employs qualified Trainers and Assessors who hold the required credentials and demonstrate current industry competence. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality training and assessment to all students.

To maintain the highest standards, all Trainers and Assessors have an obligation to maintain and update their knowledge and skills annually, ensuring they remain fully qualified and compliant to deliver training and assessment activities in line with industry requirements.

Mode of delivery

MTC FutureReady delivers courses through classroom-based learning, online classes, and distance education. Students receive all necessary training, assessment, and reference materials for each unit of competency.

Assessment tasks may be conducted in class, in a simulated workplace environment, or on-the-job, depending on the requirements of the qualification.

Our assessment tools are customised to meet the needs of students while aligning with industry standards, ensuring both compliance and relevance.

Learning resources

At MTC FutureReady, all students receive dedicated learning resources at the beginning of their training. These resources are carefully designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of each subject and to support the successful completion of all required assessment tasks.

Training plans

MTC FutureReady provides all students with a structured Training Plan (also referred to as a Training Schedule) for any qualification offered under the NSW Government Subsidised program, Smart and Skilled.

This plan will be issued at the commencementbeginning of your training. The Training Plan outlines the key requirements of your training and includes:

  • Details of the Units of Competency (UoCs) that make up the qualification
  • Mode of delivery, such as face-to-face or online learning
  • Assessment methods, for example, written questions of workplace observations
  • Timeframes for achieving each UoC, including start dates and assessment submission dates.

Where applicable, the Training Plan may also include Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) options. For more information on RPL or CT, please visit MTC FutureReady – Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer
