BSBSS00102 Micro Business Skill Set
This course empowers aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills and confidence to successfully launch a small business. You will learn how to identify a business opportunity and assess its key components as well as research and develop a business plan. Given the technical nature of this course, we recommend participants have language, literacy numeracy and digital skills equivalent to Certificate III level.
How It Works
This skill set is delivered online through Microsoft Teams and is scheduled for 2 days a week for a total of 4 weeks of structured training.
It will include:

- facilitated virtual learning; and
- self-paced learning through our online learning platform
- virtual coaching sessions
Learner IT requirements: Participants must have access to a computer or laptop, word processing software, and the internet to undertake this course.
You will require the Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital skills to:

- Read and comprehend the course learning content;
- Conduct a basic internet search;
- Engage in online learning, including video conferencing sessions; and
- Use a range of software to communicate electronically and create simple documents.
Course Units
This training will take six weeks to complete. You must complete the two Units of Competency listed below.
BSBESB301 Investigate business opportunities
BSBESB401 Research and develop business plans
Certification
Successful completion of these competencies will enable a student to receive a Statement of Attainment awarded by MTC FutureReady as formal recognition of their achievement. Additionally, it can contribute to credit towards a nationally recognised qualification in Australia.
