Student enrolment process

MTC FutureReady’s process for enrolling a student in NSW Government-subsidised training under Smart and Skilled involves:

 

  • Confirming eligibility for Smart and Skilled
  • Collecting information and evidence to support your eligibility
  • Obtaining student consent for the Department and other government agencies’ use of information
  • Student declaration confirming information provided is true and not misleading
  • Providing or creating a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Confirming fee structure.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is your personal education number required for all nationally recognised study, including vocational education and training (VET). It’s free and you only need to create it once. If you do not have a USI, you can create one by visiting the USI website. On the Create your USI page, under Guide and More Information, you will find instructions on how to get a USI.
