The journey to meaningful employment.
Here’s your journey to meaningful employment with MTC FutureReady’s Inclusive Employment Australia.
We’re super keen to meet you and help you get ready for work, search for the right kind of jobs, get the job you want and, importantly, keep it.
MTC FutureReady are experts in breaking down barriers and we’ve been helping people find meaningful employment for more than 36 years. If you’ve ever felt cut off from the employment opportunities others take for granted, we understand, and we’re here to help you take practical steps towards real progress.
Referral
You can self-refer, be referred by Services Australia or be referred by
another organisation.
Welcome call
One of the MTC FutureReady team will call you and welcome you to Inclusive Employment Australia. They’ll take time to explain what’s going to happen next and will:
- Make a plan for your meeting at MTC, including if you have any needs.
- Give you information about what to bring with you for your first appointment with your Employment Practitioner.
- Ask you to confirm your details so they can send you the MTC Welcome Pack containing information about our services.
First meeting
At your first appointment, your Employment Practitioner will:
- Get to know you.
- Talk with you about your needs and goals.
- Help you get started with Inclusive Employment Australia.
- Set a time for your next meeting.
Regular, ongoing meetings
During these meetings, together we’ll work towards your goals and find activities to support you in your journey such as:
- Training;
- Services that support your wellbeing; and
- Employment-based activities.
Congratulations, you’re starting work!
While you will continue working with your Employment Practitioner, you can also decide to work with MTC’s Health and Wellbeing Consultant who is here to support your move into the workforce.
Staying in work
We’re here for you all the way … and beyond. Our support can include helping you with work-related costs (like uniforms), upskilling and care for your wellbeing.
We can also visit you on the job if you need help at work, especially to make changes to your workspace and sourcing assistive equipment to make work more accessible.
