MTC FutureReady selected to deliver Inclusive Employment Australia

MARRICKVILLE, 1 August 2025: MTC FutureReady is energised by the opportunity to strengthen our commitment to empowering people with disability through meaningful employment opportunities after being selected to deliver the new Inclusive Employment Australia service across seven regions in Greater Sydney and Greater Melbourne.

As a leading not-for-profit provider, MTC FutureReady has more than 36 years’ experience supporting people through our innovative skills, training and employment programs. Adding Inclusive Employment Australia to our offerings will see us deliver on our commitment to encourage more organisations to embrace the talents of people with disability

“At MTC FutureReady, we envision a society where every individual, regardless of the barriers they may have, has the opportunity to shape their own future. We have a long-standing history of working with people with disability, with 17% of our program participants living with disability,” MTC FutureReady CEO Rob Marshall said.

The Department of Social Services has announced that MTC FutureReady has been awarded contracts to deliver services for Inclusive Employment Australia in the following Employment Service Areas (ESAs) from 1 November 2025:

  • Canterbury Bankstown, NSW
  • Inner Sydney, NSW
  • Central Western Sydney, NSW
  • Fairfield, NSW
  • St George Sutherland, NSW
  • Liverpool, NSW
  • Westgate, VIC

Inclusive Employment Australia puts the participant at the centre of the service to help create a more inclusive future. It gives people with disability, injury or health condition, the support to prepare for, find and maintain work, and grow their career.

MTC FutureReady understands the unique employment challenges faced by people with disability and we tailor our services to directly address them. Our teams are trained in person-centred support, meeting the specific needs and aspirations of everyone who comes to us for support,” MTC FutureReady General Manager, Employment Services Mark Zaia said.

The establishment of Inclusive Employment Australia to replace the previous program, Disability Employment Services, includes changes to eligibility to remove a rule that participants must be receiving a social security payment or be able to work over 8 hours per week to receive support.

The new service will also deliver more simplicity for employers of people with disability including reduced red tape and streamlined wage subsidies, with a consistent maximum rate of $10,000. This increased subsidy is designed to help employers cover upfront costs and encourage them to create sustainable positions for people with disability.

The Department of Social Services has advised that people currently involved with Disability Employment Services can be assured there is nothing they need to do ahead of the transition to Inclusive Employment Australia. They will receive individual communications and support about the new program prior to its commencement.
