How we help
MTC FutureReady is an independent social enterprise that’s here to help people take practical steps towards real progress. Our targeted training programs, meaningful employment services and unbeatable support are all designed to bring about fresh possibilities and drive life-changing transformation.
Founded by a team of just three people in the Sydney suburb of Marrickville in 1989, MTC began with a focus on helping the most disadvantaged people in the community move into training and meaningful employment. As we’ve grown, we’ve expanded our focus to empower people from all backgrounds who want to improve their skills and their employment prospects, and we now have over 450 passionate team members at almost 60 locations who support more than 20,000 people each year across New South Wales, Queensland, and the ACT.
Through our support, people experience positive change in themselves and in their contribution to the community.
Our proven programs and government-funded initiatives help people build capacity and skills and find the right opportunities for work and life. Through these programs, we’re also well placed to help employers find and hire job-ready staff who will become valuable assets to any workforce. We also deliver nationally accredited training courses and innovative youth programs and offer specialist recruitment services through MTC Recruitment.
As a social enterprise, we support and empower disadvantaged Australians, by reinvesting surplus back into social impact initiatives aligned to our purpose.
Our programs & services
Employment Services
We offer a range of government-funded programs and training designed to help individuals build the skills and self-confidence to find the job they want – or start the business they’ve long imagined. Programs include Workforce Australia and Disability Employment Services. Our team also works with businesses of all sizes to find new employees, develop existing ones and address skill shortages that affect many industries.
Education & Training Programs
Our qualified trainers are knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about supporting individuals to reach their potential, helping them gain practical skills and real-world experience. Programs include Skills for Education and Employment, Career Transition Assistance, Self-Employment Assistance, Employability Skills Training, and a range of Vocational Education and Training courses.
Youth & Support Services
We deliver innovative programs that support young people to set and achieve their goals. These include mentoring opportunities, programs that provide pathways to employment, and personalised support to stay engaged at school and connected at home. Programs include Opportunity Hub, National Student Wellbeing Program and No Interest Loans Scheme as well as our social impact strategy which aims to directly support young people and their families.
At MTC FutureReady, we know that sometimes personal challenges can prevent people from making progress, so our Allied Health team helps people overcome these challenges. Our network of practitioners provides confidential services at no cost to our clients.
NDIS Services
Sometimes people need extra help to develop the skills needed to find and keep a job or to decide on the right educational pathway. We know that securing meaningful work with an employer that supports you can be life changing so our NDIS Services are designed to help anyone who has an NDIS plan and wants to find work. Through School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) and NDIS Employment Support, we can be your personalised service as you chase your dreams and achieve your employment goals.
