At MTC FutureReady, our support and services don’t stop at training. We understand that the best way to ensure that you’re able to achieve your goals and maintain employment is to support your overall wellbeing. We offer a range of support services, both within MTC and through external providers, to ensure you have the resources and assistance you need every step of the way.

- Allied Health – access to psychologists and counselling services that provide strategies and tools to overcome barriers and support your progress
- No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) – if approved, NILS allows you to purchase essential household items, such as white goods, without paying fees of interest.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainees may also receive further support under various Aboriginal Initiatives programs.

When you enrol with MTC FutureReady, you will be provided with a personalised Training Plan that outlines the support services available to you throughout your course. If at any time you require additional assistance or need to update your support needs, you may request this through our support team, your trainer. We are committed to ensuring every student receives the right support at the right time. We review support service usage annually to ensure continuous improvement and adequacy of services.
Reasonable adjustments
A reasonable adjustment is a measure or action taken to ensure that a learner with a disability (or other disadvantage) can access and participate in training and assessment on the same basis as other students, without compromising the integrity of the competency requirements.
Examples of adjustments include:
- Additional time for assessment submissions
- Alternative formats for learning materials (e.g., text-to-speech documents, large print)
- Verbal responses instead of written, where appropriate
If you believe you may require an adjustment to participate in training, we encourage you to inform MTC FutureReady.
When assessing whether an adjustment is reasonable, MTC FutureReady will consider:
- The student’s disability and their views regarding their needs
- The effect of the adjustment on the student’s ability to achieve learning outcomes, participate in the program, or act independently
- The impact of the proposed adjustment on others, including staff and fellow students
- The costs and benefits of making the adjustment.
We will notify you of the outcome of your application prior to the commencement of training or assessment.
For more information about reasonable adjustment, please speak with an MTC representative onsite, call our Customer Care team on 1300 232 663, or email us at [email protected].
